Homemade Playdough!

Tonight I babysat for my niece, Amelia, and we decided to make some fun homemade play dough!
  My mom used to make this with me when I was a kid so it was special to get to whip up a batch with my niece. I found a quick and easy recipe on my new favorite blog,  Little Eco Footprints ...

{Quick and Easy Uncooked Playdough}

1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup salt
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
1 cup of boiling water, with a few drops of food colouring added

Mix together all dry ingredients and oil, then quickly add boiling water, stirring rapidly as the dough thickens. Knead on a floured surface until smooth, adding more flour if dough is sticky.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

A few tips for making the dough even more delightful are to add essential oils - rose to the pink, lavender to the purple, and lemongrass to the yellow

Happy Play Doughing!
